1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Crumb Studios LLC (“Crumb Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our iOS game Merge Kingdom Survivors (the “App”). Our website, crumbstudiosllc.com, is covered by our main privacy policy.
2. Summary
- The App stores your game progress, settings and whether you have bought Remove Ads on your device. It does not have accounts and does not send your game data to us.
- Google AdMob shows a full-screen ad after your hero falls in a run. Google collects device and advertising information to deliver and measure those ads. See section 7.
- Remove Ads is an optional one-time purchase handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. See section 4.
- Crumb Studios receives information you send us when you contact us, and reports Apple provides to developers, such as crash reports from users who choose to share them.
- We do not sell your personal information.
3. Information the App handles directly
Merge Kingdom Survivors stores the following information on your device so the game works between sessions:
- Game progress, such as coins, unlocked heroes and maps, buildings, quests and best times.
- Settings and preferences, such as sound, music, haptics and other in-game options.
- Purchase status, meaning whether you own Remove Ads.
This information is kept in the App’s storage on your device. If you use Apple features that back up or sync your device, such as iCloud Backup, that data may be included in those backups under Apple’s terms.
The App does not ask you to create an account, and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or payment information. The advertising service described in section 7 collects some device information on its own.
4. In-app purchases
The App offers one optional purchase, Remove Ads, which stops the ads described in section 7. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Apple handles your payment information; we never receive it.
When you buy or restore Remove Ads, Apple tells the App which product you own so it can turn ads off. Through App Store Connect, Apple also gives us sales reports in aggregated or de-identified form.
5. Information Apple provides to developers
As the App’s developer, Crumb Studios may receive information from Apple through App Store Connect, including:
- Crash reports and diagnostics from users who have chosen to share analytics with app developers in their device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements).
- App Store reports, such as download, sales and usage statistics. Apple provides these to developers in aggregated or de-identified form.
We use this information to fix problems, improve the App and understand how the App is performing.
6. Information you give us when you contact us
If you email us for support or any other reason, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and anything you choose to include, such as screenshots or device details. We use this information only to respond to you and to fix any problems you report.
7. Advertising and analytics services
Merge Kingdom Survivors shows interstitial (full-screen) ads provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. An ad may appear after your hero falls in a run, no more than once every 90 seconds, and you can close it to return to the game. The App does not show ads while you are playing. Buying Remove Ads turns these ads off.
To deliver, measure and protect these ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK in the App may collect:
| Information | How it is used |
|---|---|
| Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, the App’s version and its ad settings | To serve ads that work on your device |
| Your IP address and the approximate (coarse) location it indicates | To serve ads suitable for your region and to comply with local law |
| Advertising interactions, such as which ads were shown and whether you tapped or closed them | To measure ads and prevent fraud |
| Device identifiers that Apple makes available to apps without your permission, such as the identifier for vendor | To limit how often you see the same ad and to detect fraud |
| Crash and performance information about the advertising SDK | To keep ads working reliably |
Tracking. The App does not ask for permission to track you through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency feature, so Google does not receive your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) from the App.
Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App uses Google’s consent tool to ask for your choices before personalized ads are shown. In US states with privacy laws that give you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising, the App offers that choice through the same tool. Where these choices apply to you, you can change them at any time in the App under Settings → Privacy Choices.
Google uses this information under its own policies. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Merge Kingdom Survivors does not include any third-party analytics SDK. If we add one, we will update this policy and the App’s privacy details on the App Store first.
8. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide and run the App, including saving your progress;
- show ads, and turn them off if you have bought Remove Ads;
- respond to support requests and other messages;
- find and fix bugs, crashes and performance problems;
- maintain the security and integrity of the App; and
- comply with legal obligations.
9. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information only:
- with Apple, as needed to provide App Store features, including in-app purchases;
- with Google, through the AdMob SDK described in section 7, to show and measure ads. Where local law treats this as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for advertising, you can limit it using the choices in section 12;
- with service providers who help us run our business, such as our email provider, only as needed to provide their services to us;
- when required by law, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Crumb Studios, our users or others; and
- as part of a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under this policy.
10. How long we keep information
Game progress and settings stay on your device until you delete the App or its data. Your Remove Ads purchase stays with your Apple Account and can be restored in the App under Settings → Restore Purchases. We keep support emails only as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable record-keeping, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
11. Children’s privacy
Crumb Studios does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, or under the minimum age set by local law, without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, please contact us and we will delete it. Parents can use Apple’s Screen Time and Ask to Buy features to control purchases.
12. Your choices and rights
- Data on your device: Deleting the App removes the game data stored in the App on your device. Copies may remain in your device backups until those backups are deleted.
- Ads: You can turn off ads by buying Remove Ads. Where they apply to you, you can review or change your ad consent and opt-out choices in the App under Settings → Privacy Choices. On any iPhone you can turn off personalized ads from Apple in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising, and you can reset Google ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com.
- Crash data sharing: You can turn off sharing with app developers in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
- Information you sent us: You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information you have sent us by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on where you live, for example in California, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under local law. These can include the right to know about, access, correct, delete or move your personal information, and to object to or restrict how it is processed. To use any of these rights, contact us. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights. We may need to confirm your request before acting on it.
13. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. International users
Crumb Studios LLC is based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, the information you send may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as through an App update or a notice on this website.
